The most common use of the AB9 is for inclusion in proper acoustic desk dividers that block and absorb sound. The desk divider requires an internal cavity of 9 to 10mm to house the AB9. The outer layers of the enclosure for the AB9 need to be acoustically transparent. 9mm PET board is well-suited to this application. AB9 is best cut to size using a strong, sharp craft knife or guillotine.
AB9 real-world performance is influenced by how they are integrated into products. This is an OEM-type product. ISO 22955 compliance has been achieved with desk dividers that are only 350mm in height.
Absorption inserts are supplied exclusively to partners for inclusion in their products. They are not available for retail purchase as they require training to be used correctly.
